2022 New Year Message from Shanti-Som Wellbeing Retreat

2021 was a messy year to say the least. As a new year comes around it’s a great time to be reflective and put some thought into goals and resolutions. However, this last year has been unsettling and disorientating as we navigate unknowns and lockdowns. It’s truly challenging to find opportunity in uncertainty as it requires an energy and motivation that has been beaten out of most of us at this point.

You may have ended the year feeling disheartened. Sluggish. Unmotivated.

But don’t be hard on yourself if you feel you didn’t achieve what you set out.

Be proud of how far you’ve come even if it’s not where you thought you’d be.

So perhaps this year make your new years resolutions simple.

Collect memories with your family. Find simplicity and happiness in little things. In the every day magic.

Let go of what you can’t control, learn to be more present.

“More laughter. Connecting deeper. Telling people they matter.

More sunlight and time spent outdoors. Feeling tiny next to trees.

More wonder. No map, exploring. Pausing at what interests.

More quiet. Sitting with silence seeing what floats to the surface.

More feeling. Avoiding numbing. Guilt, joy, peace weigh equally.

Maybe goals. Numbers won’t measure. Hold secrets for more meaning.”

Remember to treat yourself and find things to stay connected and centered.

The article is a testament to thorough research and balanced reporting. It’s rare to find such a well-rounded piece. I would recommend using a project management and to do list tool to streamline your blog: https://bordio.com/tools/project-managenent-tools/
